AuraOne, Inc. is seeking an Associate Forward Deployed Engineer for remote assessment of production code and AI outputs. You will reproduce candidate solutions in a sandbox, grade results against a rubric, and write minimal failing tests to expose edge cases.

You should demonstrate strong engineering judgment, be able to read and debug unfamiliar code, and maintain clear, persuasive notes for senior engineers. This is a contractor role with US-eligibility.

Qualifications

• Strong day-job engineering experience; you can read, run, and debug unfamiliar code.
• Comfort writing concise unit tests that capture a single failure mode.
• Familiarity with a testing framework: pytest, Jest, JUnit, Go test or RSpec.
• Clear written reasoning to convince a senior engineer.
• Reliable async availability for at least 10 hours per week.
• Prior code-review or technical-interview-grading experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Run and reproduce candidate code outputs in a sandboxed environment.
• Grade forward deployed engineer solutions for correctness, style, and edge-case handling.
• Write the smallest failing test that demonstrates a bug.
• Compare paired solutions and provide a written rationale tied to the rubric.
• Tag failure modes with severity scores.
• Document recurring code-generation failures for the modeling team.
• Calibrate reviews to maintain high inter-rater agreement.
