Job summary

Anchor QEA is seeking a senior-level coastal engineering leader to manage multidisciplinary teams across living shorelines, habitat restoration, and sediment management projects along the U.S. East Coast, with a focus on the Mid-Atlantic region.

Responsibilities include scope, schedule, and budget oversight, client relations, and coordination with federal and state agencies. You will guide projects from concept through design, permitting, construction, and post‑construction monitoring, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Coastal/Civil/Environmental Engineering, Marine Science, Coastal Geology, Environmental Science, Ecology) or similar; Master’s degree preferred.
• 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in coastal resilience, habitat restoration, sediment management, environmental remediation, or related environmental consulting.
• Proven ability to develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, contracts, and subcontractors.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
• Experience planning, permitting, construction, and monitoring of coastal resilience and nature‑based infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams in planning, design, permitting, and implementation of coastal resilience and habitat restoration projects.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, resources, and contract requirements.
• Serve as primary client contact and manage relationships to meet objectives.
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies for permitting and compliance.
• Manage subcontractors and consultants to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.
• Provide QA/QC and support field investigations and data collection.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients and agencies.
