Job summary

Anchor QEA seeks a full-time Coastal Engineer for our Horsham, PA office to support east coast projects focused on coastal processes, shoreline protection, and living shorelines.

Ideal candidates have 3–8 years of coastal engineering experience, with hydrodynamic/hydraulic modeling, water resources concepts, and proficiency in CAD, GIS, and programming (Python).

The role offers collaboration, mentorship, and travel to field sites across the US with a competitive package.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in a relevant field (Coastal, Ocean, Civil or Environmental Engineering)
  • 3–8 years of experience in coastal engineering
  • Experience with coastal engineering and flood resiliency evaluations
  • Experience with hydrologic, hydraulic, hydrodynamic, and/or water quality numerical modeling
  • Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS a plus
  • PE license or ability to obtain within two years

Responsibilities

  • Support development and design for coastal projects (coastal processes, shoreline erosion protection, beach nourishment, wetland protection)
  • Assist with planning, design includes basis of design, drawings, reports and cost estimates
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
  • Coordinate with client's project manager and project team
  • Analyze complex problems and develop value-engineered solutions
  • Prepare project deliverables and construction documents
  • Travel for site visits and meetings across US locations
