Job summary

Digifabshop, CWK Associates’ fabrication partner, seeks a Production Engineer I to translate digital models into optimized CNC programs and fixtures for highly complex projects.

You will import models, design fabrication-ready CNC fixtures, and program 3-axis/5-axis paths while collaborating with the Machines Manager and Engineering to ensure precise, timely fabrication. 2–4 years CNC/machining experience and Rhino 3D/Mastercam skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years CNC programming or machining experience.
• Rhino 3D and Mastercam (3‑axis and 5‑axis) proficiency.
• Solid understanding of CAM post-processing and machine constraints.
• Ability to design effective fixtures and jigs for CNC operations.

Responsibilities

• Import fabrication models and produce 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC programs.
• Design and develop fabrication-ready 3D models and drawings for CNC fixtures and jigs.
• Extract and manipulate geometry from engineering models for part-nesting and cut-lists.
• Actively communicate with the Machines Manager, Engineering, and CNC Operators to ensure successful fabrication.
• Review all specified materials to understand their use and limitations.
