Job summary

Digifabshop is seeking a CNC Operator to set up and run CNC milling machines. You will move and secure workpieces, manage tool changes, and verify milled parts against specifications using inspection tools.

The role requires reading shop drawings, selecting cutting parameters, and maintaining safe operations per OSHA standards. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential for manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications

• Ability to use basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) to solve problems as well as a working knowledge of fractions, decimals, and standard-to-metric conversions.
• Ability to watch gauges, dials, screens, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
• Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
• Ability to conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
• Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate

Responsibilities

The CNC Operator at Digifabshop/CWKA is responsible for the setup and operation of our CNC milling machines.

• Controls automatic tool changes and performs manual tool changes as necessary on CNC Routers
• Verifies conformance of milled work to specifications using visual inspection and measuring instruments

• Controlled Precision - The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the settings/controls of a machine to exact positions
• Near Vision - The ability to identify details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
• Static Strength - The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects
• Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
• Maintain Stationary Position – The ability to stand continuously for up to 2 hours at a time on a regular basis
• Heavy Lifting – The ability to lift up to 51lbs frequently and repeatedly
