Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Current, unexpired Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMAC, or equivalent) or EMT-Basic certification from an
• Sentara Medical Group oversees many practices serving diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• The Certified Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures under the supervision of the Physician, NP/PA, RN, or LPN.
