Job summary

Devopsroles seeks a CloudOps & DevOps – Hybrid Engineer to maintain secure data flows between Kafka, PostgreSQL, and S3, strengthen observability, and validate OpenTelemetry. You will coordinate user setup with stakeholders and collaborate with security teams to ensure compliant infrastructure for sensitive client projects.

The role emphasizes secure access controls, CI/CD collaboration, and implementing best practices across data in transit and at rest within a hybrid cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required for designated client projects.
• Experience in CloudOps/DevOps for hybrid cloud environments.
• Hands-on with Kafka, PostgreSQL, and S3 data flows.
• Awareness of FedRAMP, HIPAA and SOC2 protocols.
• Proficiency with OpenTelemetry and observability frameworks.
• Ability to secure cloud data pipelines and manage RBAC.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, IaC (Terraform, Ansible), and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain secure Kafka-PostgreSQL-S3 data flows to support projects.
• Configure and manage secure access controls for observability roles.
• Test and validate OpenTelemetry data collection.
• Coordinate user setup and access provisioning for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and security teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor system health and ensure high availability of data pipelines.
• Integrate observability (logs, metrics, traces) for full visibility of hybrid cloud infra.
• Implement security best practices for data in transit and at rest.
• Document processes, configurations, and security controls for compliance.
• Enhance infrastructure and tooling for scalability, performance, and security.
• Other duties as assigned
