Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced data/ software engineer for a hybrid role across multiple U.S. locations. You will design and optimize real-time and batch data pipelines, leveraging AWS, Kafka, Java, and Python to support ERP integrations and data lakes.

The position requires building resilient microservices and managing deployments in containers running on Kubernetes. The role emphasizes AWS Managed Kafka, database experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle), and IaC with Terraform

Qualifications

10+ years of software/data engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in AWS, Kafka, Java, Spring Boot, Python.
Expertise in AWS Managed Kafka (data & integration).
Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server and Oracle.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy real-time and batch data pipelines.
Leverage Kafka, Kafka Connect, and stream engines to process CDC and transactional data.
Build microservices with Java and Spring Boot to orchestrate data flows.
Containerize with Docker and deploy via Kubernetes.
Configure IaC with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation and CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
Set up monitoring and log management with DataDog, New Relic, or Splunk.
