Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Cloud SOC Analyst to support the United States Air Force. In this role, you will monitor and analyze threats in cloud or hybrid environments using state-of-the-art tools to detect, mitigate, and respond to incidents.

You will translate customer needs, assist migrations, and contribute to mission-critical capabilities by applying threat intelligence, incident response, and forensics techniques in a fast-paced environment. Remote/hybrid options may apply.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as part of a SOC operations or cybersecurity team within cloud or hybrid environments.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud SIEM or SOAR platforms, such as Splunk, and multi-cloud telemetry pipelines.
• Experience with incident response tasks, such as step identification within the IR process, remediation of security incidents that could have potential impact, and ongoing investigations.
• Knowledge of basic IT forensics.
• Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification, including Security+, within 60 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze threats in cloud or hybrid environments using state-of-the-art tools.
• Mitigate and respond to security incidents to restore operations and limit impact.
• Analyze incidents to determine how many systems are affected and assist recovery efforts.
• Combine threat intelligence, event data, and assessments from recent events to understand attackers’ goals and stop them from succeeding.
