Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Cloud SOC Analyst to monitor and analyze threats for high-impact national security work with the United States Air Force. You will apply cloud security expertise to defend mission-critical environments and respond rapidly to incidents.

The role requires 4+ years in SOC or cybersecurity in cloud/hybrid settings, 3+ years with cloud SIEM/SOAR (e.g., Splunk), and experience with incident response and forensics.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in SOC operations or cybersecurity within cloud or hybrid environments.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud SIEM or SOAR platforms, such as Splunk, and multi-cloud telemetry pipelines.
• Experience with incident response tasks, such as IR process steps, remediation of security incidents, and ongoing investigations.
• Knowledge of basic IT forensics.
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification, including Security+, within 60 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze threats using state-of-the-art tools.
• Understand, mitigate, and respond to threats quickly to restore operations and limit impact.
• Analyze incidents to determine affected systems and assist recovery efforts.
• Combine threat intelligence, event data, and assessments to identify attacker goals and stop them from succeeding.
