Job summary

ProwlerPro, Inc. is seeking a senior cloud security leader to mentor a team of engineers and researchers.

You will own cloud threat research, develop scalable detection features, and shape the security roadmap for a cutting-edge cloud protection product. You will collaborate across product, engineering, and research teams, translating complex security risks into actionable plans while maintaining high coding standards and robust CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Cybersecurity with 3+ years in Cloud Security ecosystems (CSPM, CWPP, CNAPP).
• 2-3+ years leading engineering or research teams and managing security projects.
• Deep CSP APIs, IAM across major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and strong networking fundamentals.
• Adversarial mindset to identify architectural flaws and abuse vectors in cloud setups.
• Advanced Python coding with focus on scalable, well-documented detection features.
• Hands-on with containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and OS architectures.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product owners and engineers to understand customer needs and translate risks into scalable solutions.
• Lead and mentor a team of cloud security engineers and researchers; own end-to-end planning and delivery.
• Conduct cloud threat research across AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI and Kubernetes to uncover threat vectors.
• Develop scalable security controls and enterprise-grade detection features for the Prowler product.
• Perform advanced threat modeling on cloud architectures and AI/LLM infrastructures.
• Help drive security product roadmap in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Champion coding standards, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and contribute to open-source cloud security ecosystem.
• Engage with the Prowler community and guide external stakeholders.
