Job summary

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking an Engineer, Cloud Security to strengthen our cloud security posture and align practices with our enterprise roadmap. You will design, deploy, and oversee security controls across AWS and Azure, collaborating with technology partners to implement scalable, compliant solutions.

The role emphasizes DevSec, incident readiness, threat modeling, and continuous improvement of security policies with broad organizational impact.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Computer Science, Business, Healthcare or other technology/security discipline
• 7–10 years of information security experience in designing, deploying, managing, monitoring, and evaluating advanced cybersecurity
• Experience in incident response, engineering, cloud architectures, tuning, etc. in a SaaS environment
• Strong understanding of application architectures and security
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages
• Provide security training and awareness to developers and other employees
• Document security policies and procedures
• Participate in proof of concepts and other technical evaluations of technologies
• Hands-on automation and DevOps skills
• Security certifications or comparable experience preferred
• Risk analysis/assessment experience and healthcare data privacy knowledge preferred
• Experience with AWS WAF, CDK, and threat modeling methodologies
• Experience with APIs and DevSec practices
• Support compliance program objectives

Responsibilities

• Possess expertise in scripting controls, automating processes, managing AWS WAF rules, and CDK nag rules for preventive controls
• Analyze and improve security policies, patch vulnerabilities in apps and infrastructure, and lead security programs
• Develop and implement DevSec practices to integrate security into SDLC
• Use software to detect, remediate, and enforce security standards in AWS and Azure
• Conduct security assessments of cloud applications and APIs
• Develop cloud API and monitoring controls to ensure reliable service delivery
• Triage issues using a ticketing system and analyze log data
• Create and maintain documentation for processes and deployments
• Engineer and tune cloud security solutions including enrollment, monitoring, and alerting
• Other duties as assigned
