Job summary

Revolutional is seeking a Cloud Security Architect/Engineer to design, engineer, and authorize secure cloud solutions for a VA program in a large federal environment. The role covers architecture through ATO, translating FedRAMP and RMF requirements into system design and implementation.

The ideal candidate has extensive Government experience, with strong alignment to NIST and HIPAA controls, and will lead design, engineering, and authorization efforts across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 10+ years Information Security experience with 5+ years in Cybersecurity and Cloud Security at a large Government agency.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field as listed in the requirements.
• Expertise integrating FedRAMP/RMF into systems and applications.
• Experience in IT and cloud security architecture design, security engineering, and implementation.
• Experience with cloud solutions in federal or commercial environments.
• Experience with Federal A&A and ATO activities.
• Familiar with NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, CIS Controls, HIPAA.
• Certifications: IAT Level III, IAM Level III, or IASAE Level III.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cybersecurity architecture and engineering requirements for FedRAMP and RMF.
• Lead IT and cloud security architecture design, security engineering, and implementation efforts.
• Architect and implement secure cloud solutions across federal or commercial environments.
• Support Federal A&A and Authority to Operate activities across the system lifecycle.
• Collaborate with program, engineering, and compliance teams to translate requirements into actionable decisions.
• Assist with continuous monitoring and risk management for cloud-hosted systems.
