Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a Manager, Cloud Platform Engineering to lead a team responsible for cloud platform engineering, architecture enhancements, and operational excellence.

You will shape cloud standards, drive automation and security, and partner across engineering, risk, and architecture teams to deliver resilient, high-performing cloud services.

This is a remote position within the United States with a focus on secure, scalable cloud solutions and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience.
• 2+ years experience setting up cloud infrastructure with public cloud providers like Azure, AWS and/or Google.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team for the cloud services unit responsible for managing the cloud platform.
• Partners with cloud & enterprise architecture teams to develop and enforce cloud standards, best practices, and roadmap capabilities.
• Develops deep understanding in technical domain and demonstrates thought leadership in emerging areas.
• Works with internal risk and information security teams to ensure appropriate controls and security rigor for cloud platforms.
• Partners with application development teams to provide new platform service offerings to enable and support their success.
• Acts as SME for planning and executing on cloud platform architecture enhancements including network, security, and automation.
• Owns reliability, availability, and performance of core cloud platform functions.
• Manages department staff including hiring, performance management and career development to align with goals.
