Centene Corp. seeks a Manager of Cloud Platform Engineering to lead a team responsible for cloud architecture, standards, and operational excellence. You will drive automation, security compliance, and platform service offerings in a remote US setting.

The role partners with risk, architecture, and development teams to deliver resilient cloud services, ensuring reliability, availability and performance of core functions. Strong leadership and cloud certification are required.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience.
2+ years experience in setting up cloud infrastructure with public cloud providers like Azure, AWS and/or Google.

Responsibilities

Leads a team for the cloud services unit responsible for managing the cloud platform.
Partners with cloud & enterprise architecture teams to develop and enforce cloud standards, best practices, and roadmap capabilities.
Develops deep understanding in technical domain and demonstrates thought leadership in emerging areas.
Works with internal risk and information security teams to ensure controls and security rigor for cloud platforms.
Partners with application development teams to provide new platform service offerings to enable and support their success.
Acts as SME for planning & executing on cloud platform architecture enhancements including network, security, and automation.
Acts as owner for the reliability, availability, and performance of core cloud platform functions.
Manages department staff including hiring, performance management and career development to ensure alignment with defined goals.
