Job summary

Maximus is seeking an IT Architect - Cloud Platform to lead architecture across cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, and data platforms. You will define strategy, governance, and standards while ensuring secure, scalable, and developer-friendly platforms.

The role operates at an enterprise level, influencing multiple teams and domains, guiding modernization, and balancing hands-on work in critical areas. This is a remote position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud, platform engineering, DevSecOps, or infrastructure architecture roles.
• Proven track record designing and scaling enterprise cloud platforms on AWS.
• Deep expertise in DevSecOps, secure SDLC, and software supply chain security.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and cloud native architectures at scale.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins), SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory/Xray, and GitOps.
• Demonstrated ability to define architecture standards, governance, and enterprise frameworks.
• Experience leading large scale transformations and influencing multi team/platform strategy.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise SaaS/PaaS platform architectures for scalability, security, and efficiency.
• Lead evaluation and design of cloud platform solutions addressing business and technical needs.
• Mentor engineers and provide guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
• Maintain platform infrastructure, DR capabilities, and high-availability solutions.
• Analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutions to improve reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with teams to promote architecture standards, automation, and operational procedures.
• Lead CI/CD pipelines, IaC, automated testing, and deployment processes.
