Job summary

Maximus is seeking an IT Architect - Cloud Platform to lead vision, design, and evolution of enterprise cloud ecosystems. This remote role spans cloud infra, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, and data platforms, driving architecture strategy, governance, and secure, scalable standards.

You will influence multiple teams, promote platform modernization, and stay selectively hands-on in critical areas to deliver reliable, secure services. Strong leadership and AWS/Kubernetes expertise are essential.

Qualifications

7+ years in cloud/platform engineering or infrastructure architecture roles.
Proven track record designing and scaling enterprise cloud platforms on AWS.
Deep expertise in DevSecOps, secure SDLC, and software supply chain security.
Advanced experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and cloud native architectures at scale.
Strong experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins), SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory/Xray, and GitOps.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and optimize enterprise SaaS and PaaS platform architectures.
Lead evaluation, design, and implementation of cloud platform solutions with architectural oversight.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and consultation to teams and stakeholders.
Design and maintain platform infrastructure, HA/DR capabilities, and recovery strategies.
Drive secure SDLC governance, including CI/CD pipelines and policy enforcement.
Promote platform automation, GitOps, and observability across teams.
Collaborate with security, operations, and application teams to standardize cloud practices.
Mentor engineers and architects to raise engineering standards.
