Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a remote, contract-based Support Engineer to diagnose and resolve complex cloud infrastructure and networking issues, with a focus on timely incident response.

You will automate routine tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell; manage cloud assets across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; and collaborate with customers and internal teams to document solutions, update runbooks, and improve support processes.

Qualifications

• Advanced scripting: Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Strong hands-on cloud experience (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Extensive knowledge of JIRA for issue tracking and project management.
• In-depth TCP/IP networking knowledge and troubleshooting techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to perform under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and networking.
• Utilize scripting skills to automate routine support tasks and improve incident response times.
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to identify, document, and resolve technical challenges.
• Leverage JIRA to track issues, monitor progress, and ensure timely resolution of support tickets.
• Analyze TCP/IP networking issues, providing expert guidance and remedial solutions.
• Create, maintain, and improve technical documentation and best practice guidelines.
