Job summary

VSO Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate a cloud-native platform for enterprise modernization.

You will own CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, containerized deployments on Kubernetes, and GitOps workflows using Argo CD or Flux, plus IaC with Terraform and Ansible.

This hands-on role requires strong collaboration with software teams, a focus on security, reliability, and scalable operations across multiple environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience building and operating production cloud-native platforms in DevOps/SRE/platform roles.
• Experience designing and building GitLab CI/CD pipelines with automated build/test/deploy workflows.
• Hands-on production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes apps with Helm or Kustomize.
• Experience implementing GitOps workflows using Argo CD or Flux.
• Experience automating infrastructure provisioning with Terraform/Ansible.
• Proficiency in Bash and Python for automation.
• Experience with at least one production observability stack (Prometheus/Grafana/OpenSearch/Splunk).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines from source to production.
• Automate builds, tests, validation, packaging, and deployment processes.
• Build, scan, sign, and publish container images using Docker tooling.
• Develop standardized deployment processes to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering to automate delivery of apps and services.
• Deploy and operate containerized apps in production Kubernetes clusters.
• Use Helm or Kustomize to manage Kubernetes deployments.
• Implement GitOps workflows with Argo CD or Flux.
• Establish IaC and versioned configurations for platforms.
• Support platform upgrades and ensure environmental consistency.
