IBM Software invites a Cloud Subject Matter Expert to drive architectural decisions for Kafka and Confluent Cloud, shaping scalable data streaming workloads across client environments. You will lead with technical authority and deliver strategic guidance that improves resilience and business value.

Qualifications

• Technical leadership as an authority for enterprise Kafka and Confluent Cloud platforms.
• Analytical troubleshooting of complex distributed systems and client IT environments.
• Design or review of event-driven architectures and guidance on production readiness, change management.
• Coordination with cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions.
• Creation and reuse of knowledge assets and enablement content.
• Use of client feedback to drive product quality and usability.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical authority for Kafka/Confluent Cloud platform for customers.
• Advise on data streaming architectures and Confluent best practices to maximize value.
• Design/review enterprise event-driven architectures and data contracts.
• Identify and resolve operational issues to ensure business continuity.
• Guide security, access control, governance, risk, and audit alignment.
• Deliver architecture reviews and workshops to promote customer self-sufficiency.
• Support incident response and root-cause analysis; contribute to PoC and reusable patterns.
