Job summary

Aflac Columbus is seeking a Cloud Engineer III to design, implement, and operate cloud-based solutions for the enterprise, with emphasis on automation, reliability, and scalable architectures. You will work across teams to deliver resilient cloud services in a remote-capable role within the continental US.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK), scripting, and distributed systems, plus strong problem solving and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, or related field.
• 4+ years of cloud architecture, engineering or support experience.
• Experience with multiple programming languages, Windows and Linux, networking, data design and agile methods.

Responsibilities

• Ensures documentation is created and maintained for Cloud platform implementation.
• Maintains cloud environments in line with standards and coordinates updates.
• Develops automation for standardizing cloud environments and design patterns.
• Provides design and coding reviews for automation and IaC.
• Ensures runbooks for operational support are created and maintained.
• Participates in advanced troubleshooting with business teams, logs analysis, CSPs, and vendors.
