Job summary

Aflac, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking a Software Engineer for the Digital Services division in Columbus. You will work on architectural design and maintenance of the platform's distributed components, including COTS, SaaS, and ERP environments, ensuring security and compliance.

This role requires advanced experience with software configuration, troubleshooting across HW/SW, and mentoring junior team members; familiarity with Scrum and DevOps, and ability to guide cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related experience.
4+ years of experience in release practices and environments or other related experience.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Any Certification that relates to the platforms supported

Responsibilities

Provides support on architectural design and maintenance of the platform’s environment (COTS, SaaS, ERP) with distributed components.
Ensures compliance with the organization's requirements through the implementation of policies, procedures, and security standards.
Plans software upgrades, patching, and plugin installations according to established policies and procedures.
Monitors performance, resolves problems, and manages component capacity issues.
Design, test, develop, configure, and maintain integrations to platform applications.
Adhere to security and coding standards for resilience, data, and security.
Review business requirements to deploy the best solution and configure, code, and debug.
Work with cross-functional departments to communicate statuses and technical proposals.
Deploy and configure platform applications to meet company needs.
Design technical solutions and customize, test, and maintain platform applications.
