Job summary

Huron Consulting Group Inc. seeks a Cloud Engineer in its AI Engineering practice to design, build, and operate secure, scalable cloud environments for client engagements and internal assets.

You will enable end-to-end cloud platforms, using IaC tools and data pipelines in collaboration with architects and client IT teams. The role emphasizes production-grade cloud/infrastructure work, Hub-and-Spoke architectures, and DevOps pipelines, with travel across US/Canada as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud engineering or platform infrastructure.
• Design and provision cloud infrastructure on major cloud platforms.
• Proficient with AI/ML and LLM infra on major cloud platforms.
• Production-grade IaC experience.
• Experience with Hub and Spoke architectures across envs.
• Strong cloud networking and security knowledge.
• Cloud certification on AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred.
• Strong client-facing communication skills.
• 5+ years in a consulting/client-delivery context preferred.
• Willing to travel for client demand across US/Canada.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and operate end-to-end cloud environments for clients and internal use.
• Build and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CDK.
• Design and provision data engineering pipelines and AI/ML infrastructure.
• Set up DevOps pipelines for data engineering, AI, and other components.
• Containerize and deploy apps across cloud-native compute and serverless.
• Maintain observability: logging, monitoring, alerting, cost tracking.
• Ensure secure deployments across identity, networking, and secrets management.
• Implement compliance guardrails aligned to regulated environments.
• Produce runbooks, ops docs, and handoff processes.
• Review IaC designs and infrastructure by others.
• Serve as cloud lead on client engagements; align infra with requirements.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, engineers, and client security teams.
