Cornerstone Global Partners (CGP Group) is partnering with a growing SaaS company to hire a Cloud Engineer. This fully remote role supports how products run on Azure and AWS, with optional hybrid for Ohio locals.

You will operate, secure, and continuously improve cloud hosting environments, managing security controls, automation, and reliability. Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of hands-on cloud experience, IaC (Terraform/Bicep), scripting (PowerShell/Bash/Python), and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in cloud engineering, SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering, supporting production workloads.
• Hands-on production experience with both Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform or Bicep (experience with one is enough).
• Scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or a similar language.
• Cloud security fundamentals: IAM/RBAC, network segmentation, WAF, TLS, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with production monitoring, alerting, incident response, and troubleshooting.
• Strong written communication and good judgment when assessing operational risk and escalating issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and improve production infrastructure across Azure and AWS, including compute, networking, databases, load balancing, and identity services.
• Evaluate and implement improvements to cloud architecture, availability, security, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Support the integration of infrastructure from acquired companies into the company's cloud environments, processes, and security standards.
• Implement and maintain cloud security controls, including IAM/RBAC, network segmentation, WAF rules, TLS, and secrets management.
• Manage vulnerability remediation, patching, and findings from security scans and penetration tests.
• Support SOC 2 Type II compliance by maintaining operational controls, collecting audit evidence, and documenting processes.
• Monitor production systems and maintain effective alerting.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and the on‑call rotation.
• Maintain runbooks, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Automate operational tasks with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar tools.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform, Bicep, or equivalent technologies.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor cloud usage and spending, and help improve cost efficiency.
