Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a Clinical Trials Fiscal Manager to lead oncology trial finance across the Fred Hutch, University of Washington, and Seattle Children’s Cancer Consortium. This role oversees pre- and post-award budgeting for Investigator Initiated and Non-Industry trials and drives strategic budgeting initiatives.

The position can be offered fully remote with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or related field.
Minimum six years of experience in healthcare or finance.
Two years' experience in clinical trial budget development & management.
Two years' experience overseeing clinical trial operations/budget staff.
Advanced skills with detailed financial analysis tools and reporting.
Strong computer skills—MS Word, Excel, Access, Adobe Acrobat and advanced knowledge of Excel required.

Responsibilities

Oversee clinical trial pre-award financial activities including budgeting, study funding submissions, sponsor funding applications, and contracts coordination.
Review and analyze study protocols to identify trial costs and resource needs.
Develop comprehensive site budgets including site fees, personnel, procedures, equipment, and supplies.
Provide cost-benefit analysis and budget optimization recommendations.
Mentor and develop staff, including budget analysts.
