Job summary

Pawnee Mental Health in the United States is seeking licensed mental health professionals to provide outpatient teletherapy services to a diverse client base, including youth and adults. You will diagnose and treat mental health conditions in a telehealth format and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure wrap-around care.

A strong emphasis on trauma-informed, evidence-based practices is required.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work or related field
  • Current, active, unincumbered independent license as an LCPC, LCMFT, LCP, or LSCSW
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment in routine, urgent, and emergent clinical situations
  • Ability to provide therapy to youth and adults across the lifespan, ages 12 and up
  • Ability and desire to work as part of a clinical team while also able to be self-directed and motivated with minimal supervision
  • Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to acquire and effectively practice new clinical skills as needed according to evolving agency needs/services
  • Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Adobe and other electronic signature applications
  • Experience and comfort with conducting therapy sessions via video conferencing software
  • Ability to independently set up and troubleshoot video conferencing technology
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and other digital tools commonly used in teletherapy
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to clients in a clear and accessible manner
  • Familiarity with privacy and security regulations related to telehealth services
  • Willingness to adapt to new technology and software as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide mental health therapy services to a wide variety of client systems in an outpatient setting, diagnosing and treating mental health disorders in a telehealth format.
  • Deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy services to individuals, families, and groups in a telehealth format.
  • Collaborate with other treatment team members, natural supports, and external providers to ensure a wrap-around approach is provided for continuity of client care.
  • Create and maintain person-centered treatment plans based on clients’ unique needs.
  • Monitor client progress through ongoing assessment and timely documentation according to current agency standards.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to all cultural and ethnic differences.
  • Complete agency trainings up to and including certification in evidenced based treatment models.
  • Provide psycho-educational services to the community as assigned by Supervisor or Director.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge and skills related to field of work through continuing education per state licensure requirements.
  • Provide client care for a minimum of three hours outside the hours of 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
  • Perform all other reasonably related duties assigned by immediate supervisor or other management personnel.

What You'll Do

Preferred:
  • 1. Experience/training in TF-CBT, CBT, ABFT, or other evidenced based practice
