Job summary

MES Solutions is seeking a self-driven RN or LPN to join our team as a Clinical Quality Assurance Coordinator. This 100% remote role focuses on quality review of peer review reports, ensuring evidence-based rationales, and compliance with client agreements and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will hold an active nursing license, have at least two years of clinical experience, and be proficient with Word, Outlook and Excel.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two years clinical or related field experience; or equivalent education/experience.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, medications & lab values.
• Must be able to type at least 40 WPM.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel; strong computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to follow instructions and respond to management directions accurately.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and quality control in all work.
• Knowledge of ERISA and state/federal mandates as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance review of peer review reports and related documents.
• Provide evidence-based rationales for recommendations.
• Ensure client instructions and specifications are followed.
• Cite current references from reputable medical journals for reports.
• Ensure reports are professional in content and format per standards.
• Verify board specialty reviews align with client specs and state mandates.
• Confirm reviewer independence and absence of conflicts of interest.
• Address inconsistencies by coordinating with Peer Reviewer for corrections.
• Assist in resolving customer complaints and QA issues as needed.
• Comply with ERISA and state mandates at all times.
• Provide management with insights on consultant quality and compliance.
• Promote effective use of company resources and participate in training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
