Job summary

Centene Corporation is hiring a Manager of Clinical Pharmacy Operations to develop and oversee clinical pharmacy tools and programs, supporting cost-effective utilization for members and aligning with corporate and regional goals. This fully remote role prefers strong leadership background and PBM/ managed care expertise.

The role includes directing clinical activities, maintaining programs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and optimal formulary

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
• Pharmacist license required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages clinical pharmacy activities through subordinate staff to improve pharmaceutical care and cost-effective utilization.
• Develops and maintains clinical pharmacy programs including quality assurance, formulary management, DUR, compliance and education.
• Coordinates clinical efforts with other departments to implement cohesive programs.
• Performs quality assurance monitoring to meet regulatory and compliance standards (Medicare Star, HCQA/HEDIS).
• Develops clinical recommendations for the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee.
• Monitors advancements in evidence-based practice to ensure safe, effective coverage and programs.
• Oversees administration of the pharmacy benefit.
• Acts as liaison to external agencies and providers on clinical pharmacy issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to policies.
