Job summary

Oscar is hiring a Clinical Pharmacist Supervisor - Prior Authorization to lead a Pharmacy Utilization Management team. This fully remote role supports clinical reviews for prior authorizations and appeals, driving operational excellence and evidence-based decisions.

Reporting to the Manager, Pharmacy Utilization Management, you will mentor pharmacists, monitor performance metrics, and partner with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and maintain regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree and active, unrestricted license.
• 4+ years of managed care experience in clinical review/utilization management.
• 1+ year of people or project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily workflows, queue monitoring, and scheduling for pharmacist teams.
• Monitor productivity and quality metrics; provide coaching and reviews.
• Review and resolve complex prior authorization cases and appeals.
• Collaborate with Clinical Quality for audits and performance support.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency.
• Develop and update job aids and training resources.
• Participate in rotated weekend/holiday on-call schedules.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
