Job summary

Virtual Pharmacist Ltd. provides remote clinical pharmacy services to GP practices and primary care networks across England. We are inviting applications from GPhC-registered clinical pharmacists who are Independent Prescribers and who want to deliver remote clinical care as independent contractors.

Work is remote and home-based, typically 18 to 30 hours per week, assigned on a per-assignment basis. Rates are £28 to £30 per hour, invoiced for services provided and accepted.

Qualifications

• Current GPhC registration as a pharmacist.
• Active Independent Prescriber qualification.
• Experience in general practice, PCN, or primary care.
• Confidence using EMIS Web, SystmOne, Vision and/or Medicus or ability to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote clinical pharmacy support for GP practices and PCNs.
• Conduct structured medication reviews and medicines optimisation.
• Review acute prescription requests and reconcile discharges.
• Support long-term condition management within scope of practice.
• Record clinical activity accurately in the electronic systems.
• Escalate clinical or governance concerns when appropriate.
• Liaise with GP practice teams to ensure safe service delivery.
