Job summary

NCDIT is seeking a Clinical Informaticist to act as SME for NC HealthConnex, supporting clinical data use cases and quality measurement validation. The role requires deep knowledge of clinical data, coding systems, and data standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience with EHRs, HL7/FHIR, and DAV/PSV programs, with the ability to collaborate across clinical and technical teams in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Clinical degree or licensure required with 3+ years in clinical informatics or health IT.
• Strong knowledge of EHR data, clinical documentation, and quality measures.
• Experience with NC HealthConnex or other HIE platforms and data standards (HL7/FHIR).

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical SME for NC HealthConnex solution teams and data use cases.
• Support validation programs (DAV, PSV) and primary source validation processes.
• Guide data alignment to quality measurement specs and dQM engine.
• Collaborate across clinical and technical teams to improve data quality.
• Contribute clinical perspectives to product testing and validation.
