Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team. This is a remote position requiring residence in Kentucky or Indiana.

The specialist evaluates physician documentation to ensure the severity of illness is accurately reflected in the medical record for improved coding accuracy and specificity. You will guide physicians, nursing and ancillary staff on documentation best practices, work independently, and adapt to fluctuating workflow.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN license required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; 3 years acute care nursing or ADN with 5 years experience.
• ACDIS CCDS or CDIP certification encouraged.
• Knowledge of medical record organization and terminology.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to complete assignments timely despite workflow fluctuations.

Responsibilities
