Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team in a remote-capable role requiring residence in KY or IN. You will assess physician documentation to ensure illness severity is accurately represented in the medical record and guide clinical staff on best practices.

Ideal candidates are licensed RNs in Kentucky with 3+ years of acute care nursing experience; CCDS/CDIP credentials are strongly encouraged and knowledge of medical terminology is essential.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN license required for the role.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or an Associate’s with nursing experience.
• ACDIS CCDS or CDIP credentials strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate physician documentation to ensure accurate severity of illness in the medical record.
• Provide guidance to physicians, nursing and staff on documentation best practices.
• Complete assignments in a timely manner despite workflow fluctuations.
