Job summary

Ovation Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Documentation Educator (CDE) to audit, create, implement and maintain clinical documentation education for physicians, clinicians and other care providers at assigned clients. You will participate in quality initiatives and develop metrics to track education projects across client sites, while supporting the ongoing development of revenue cycle services.

The role requires CCDS or CDIP certification and an active nursing license, with extensive knowledge

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding, MS-DRG assignment and coding guidelines.
• Proficiency with EMR, CDI software, and coding tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement clinical documentation education for physicians, clinicians and stakeholders.
• Create documentation templates and use data to identify training opportunities.
• Maintain provider education library and trend denials for education opportunities.
• Assist in growing coding services and improve client relationships.
