Job summary

Merck is seeking a Clinical Director (Principal Scientist) to lead clinical research activities in Oncology, Hematology. The role encompasses planning, execution, safety oversight, analysis, regulatory reporting and publication across the full development cycle.

The position requires MD or MD/PhD with strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, external investigators, and business development partners. Remote-friendly arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD required.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical medicine experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of industry experience in drug development or biomedical research.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct clinical trials across the development spectrum (design, initiation, execution, monitoring, analysis, regulatory reporting, publication).
• Provide medical oversight of ongoing or new clinical trials for investigational or marketed drugs.
• Summarize clinical findings to support safety/efficacy decisions and regulatory submissions.
