Job summary

Scion Nonprofit Staffing is seeking Clinical Data Abstractors for a fully remote contract opportunity across the United States. The role supports AI-driven data workflows and clinical registry abstraction, collaborating with product and commercial teams in a dynamic environment.

Ideal candidates hold relevant certifications (CPHQ/RHIA/RHIT) and have at least 2 years of hands-on registry abstraction. Flexible scheduling and a fast-paced, cross-functional setting are offered.

Qualifications

• Active certification appropriate to assigned registries such as CPHQ, RHIA, RHIT or registry-specific abstraction training.
• Minimum of 2 years hands-on clinical data abstraction experience required.
• Experience abstracting cardiovascular or clinical registry data preferred.

Responsibilities

• Abstract cases across one or more registries, including NSQIP and related registries.
• Review patient charts within electronic health record systems to identify and document required registry data elements.
• Evaluate AI-generated abstraction recommendations and validate accuracy within abstraction workflows.
• Document abstraction rationale and provide actionable feedback to product teams to improve AI-supported workflows.
• Participate in meetings with product and commercial teams to provide subject matter expertise and workflow insights.
• Review and critique presentations, workflows, and product functionality from a clinical abstraction perspective.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
