Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a fully remote Nurse Content Editor to join the Patient Engagement team. The role focuses on reviewing and updating nursing content to reflect current guidelines and healthcare events, guided by a Clinical Editor.

Required RN licensure and 3+ years of clinical nursing experience; some content writing experience is strongly preferred. The position supports collaboration with Customer Success and other internal teams and offers a fully remote work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an unencumbered license.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or higher; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of recent clinical nursing experience.
• Some experience in authoring/writing content; healthcare-related quality, practice, regulatory requirements; and developing education materials strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of learner-centered or adult-learning principles, health literacy, and plain language principles.
• Strong research skills and ability to stay current with nursing/healthcare developments.

Responsibilities

• Review, update, and revise assigned content based on review cycles, customer needs, and current healthcare events under a Clinical Editor guidance.
• Ensure content is accurate, evidence-based, and adheres to clinical practice guidelines.
• Support editing and updating of content based on scheduled review cycles.
• Manage assigned projects, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained.
• Engage with internal teams to support content needs and respond to basic clinical inquiries from Customer Success and Service teams; may support the JIRA ticket process.
• Participate in team meetings.
• Be aware of updates from nursing organizations and governing bodies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Patient Engagement leadership.
