Job summary

Alight Solutions Ltd is seeking a Claims Operations Manager to oversee a claims team, ensuring service goals, SLAs, and client commitments are met. The role emphasizes strategic oversight, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with client expectations and team performance.

You will lead a virtual team, manage KPIs, and drive operational excellence across communication, documentation, and process improvements to deliver high-quality service and compliant outcomes.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience of 3+ years in STD/LTD product and claims management.
• Proven ability to manage day-to-day execution and projects to achieve goals.
• Associate degree or equivalent professional work experience.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Previous supervisory experience and ability to prioritise and assign work.
• Advanced level computer skills with Windows and Office suite.
• Technical proficiency using data and business tools to drive decisions and customer experience.
• Strong analytical thinking and business acumen.
• Creative agility to address complex business and technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication among Customer Care, Administrative, and Clinical teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure legal compliance and confidentiality in notifications to employees and clients.
• Review documentation to support approvals/denials and respond to audits.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for Leave of Absence programs and advise on policies.
• Lead a virtual team, define roles, and build talent to meet goals.
• Provide solutions and diagnose root causes to prevent recurrence of issues.
• Manage KPIs and ensure service and performance guarantees are met.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including workload and staff development.
• Respond to client/internal inquiries per standards and participate in meetings.
