MG+M The Law Firm is seeking a Claims Monitoring Counsel in Basking Ridge, NJ, to join our Professional Consulting Practice Group. The role focuses on risk management, claims monitoring, and strategic advice for design professionals and insurers in the United States and Canada.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex civil litigation, preferably in construction or claims management.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Must be admitted to practice in any of the 50 United States.
• Interest in construction projects.
• Capable of independent work.
• Work in an organized and efficient manner.
• Superior research and writing skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to analyze complex matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized risk management and claims avoidance guidance.
• Perform contract reviews and seminars.
• Investigate, evaluate, and monitor defense of complex professional liability claims.
• Liaise with underwriters and senior claim adjusters.
• Contribute to defense strategy evaluation.
• Develop and manage resolution strategies.
• Interface with clients, insurers, and project participants.
• Negotiate resolution of claims.
• Provide strategic direction on complex disputes and construction projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and local counsel.
