Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks an experienced mid-to-senior attorney to join its Professional Consulting Practice Group in Basking Ridge, NJ. The role focuses on risk management, claims monitoring, and advisory support for architects, engineers, and their professional liability insurers across the United States and Canada.

You will conduct contract reviews, deliver seminars, and oversee defense strategies for complex professional liability matters while coordinating with underwriters, claim

Qualifications

• Experience in complex civil litigation, preferably in construction, claims management, or related design/construction industries.
• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice in any US state.
• Interest in construction projects.
• Capable of independent work.
• Organized and efficient work manner.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Ability to multi-task and analyze complex matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized risk management and claims avoidance mitigation advice.

• Investigate, evaluate, and monitor defense of complex professional liability claims.
• Interface with underwriters and senior claim adjusters.
• Offer strategic input and evaluate defense strategies.
• Perform independent exposure evaluations.
• Develop and manage resolution strategies.
• Collaborate with clients, insurers, and project participants.
• Negotiate resolution of claims.
• Evaluate, manage, and provide strategic direction on significant complex construction disputes.
• Engage in risk management of high-value claims on large, complex projects.
• Engage and manage local counsel substantively.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and industry experts to resolve complex disputes.
