Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of life insurance contracts, complex and contestable claims, investigations, and claims procedures.
• Minimum of three years of progressively responsible life claims experience; five+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently adjudicate complex and higher-risk life and health claims within authority.
• Communicate with claimants, attorneys, and internal partners regarding requirements and resolution.
• Apply policy provisions, medical records, and underwriting evidence to determine liability and settlements.
• Document analyses and recommendations clearly in the claim file and present cases to management.
• Lead or support special projects and process improvements as assigned.
