Job summary

ERGO NEXT Insurance seeks a Claims Advocate to remotely manage a portfolio of new claims in a fast-paced commercial environment. You will interpret policy language and analyze initial loss reports to determine liability from day one.

You will collaborate with adjusters, legal partners, and vendors to determine coverage, document findings, and pursue settlements in line with policy terms. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in GL claims are preferred; licensure for independent adjuster is a plus.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of commercial property and liability policies.
• State and federal subrogation laws; construction knowledge beneficial.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Analytical approach to assessing claims and coverage.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and assess liability: identify liable third parties and assess liability.
• Initiate, document, and manage all aspects of general liability claims from identification through final resolution.
• Negotiate settlements per policy.
• Evaluate the precise financial and legal merit of a loss.
• Collaborate with claims adjusters, legal partners, and vendors to determine coverage and proper claim practices.
• Documentation: per best practice claim handling and legal requirements.
• Policy analysis and compliance: interpret policy language to align with company policies and legal requirements.
• External vendor management: engage and coordinate with outside vendors, specialists, attorneys, and investigators as needed.
