Job summary

City of Plant City seeks a motivated Litigation Associate for its Naples-based civil litigation practice in Collier County. You will handle a broad range of civil disputes, conduct extensive legal research, and draft persuasive briefs while maintaining client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of hands-on civil litigation or defense experience, is admitted to the Florida Bar, and possesses strong analytical and writing skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor in good standing with a Florida bar is required.
• 3–7 years of civil litigation or defense experience is expected.
• Strong analytical, research, and legal writing skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active caseload through all phases of litigation (pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, trial prep).
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in court appearances and settlement conferences.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and experts.
• Collaborate with partners on case strategy and file development.
