Job summary

Villmer Caudill is seeking a civil litigation attorney to join a fully remote practice based in Charlotte, NC. The attorney will handle a caseload from open to close, including pleadings, motions, and discovery, with opportunities to participate in trials and mediations.

The role requires NC bar admission, 0–3 years in civil litigation, and the ability to work from home while attending in-person events as needed. Proficiency with MacOS, Adobe, Outlook, Zoom, and Word is expected.

Qualifications

• Must pass the North Carolina Bar Examination and obtain a license to practice law in North Carolina as a condition of employment
• Minimum of 0-3 years of experience in civil litigation
• Reside in Charlotte, North Carolina metro area and attend depositions, hearings, trials, mediations in person as needed
• Ability to work effectively from home
• Proficiency with MacOS, Adobe, Outlook, Zoom, Microsoft Word, and other common office technology
• Ability and desire to work independently or as part of a litigation team with minimal support/supervision

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve pleadings, motions, discovery requests, notices, and correspondence in those cases
• Schedule and attend trials, hearings, depositions, mediations, and other proceedings
• Attend firm events and meetings
