Jobot is seeking an Associate Attorney in Civil Defense for a permanent on-site position in New York, NY. You will handle civil defense matters including insurance, personal injury, business and commercial disputes from inception through trial.

The role offers a competitive salary range of $105,000 to $200,000 per year, along with growth opportunities, remote/hybrid options, and a strong bonus structure. Our firm has growth-driven culture and multiple offices across the region.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing (CA or NV)
• Minimum 1 year of litigation experience focusing on insurance, personal injury, business and commercial law
• Exceptional research and writing skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Billable hours required: 1850
• Offices in Torrance, OC, San Diego and Las Vegas

Responsibilities

• Provide legal representation in civil defense matters including insurance, personal injury, business and commercial disputes
• Manage a caseload from inception through trial
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses
• Conduct legal research to develop litigation strategies
• Participate in depositions, hearings, trials and arbitration
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members
• Comply with all legal standards and regulations
• Act on attorney, client, and firm needs and priorities
