Job summary

Himalayas is seeking a Circuit Design Expert for a global, fully remote contractor role (~15 hours per week). Tasks include designing and validating analog, digital, power, mixed-signal, or RF circuits and translating requirements into schematics and models.

You will run simulations, automate workflows with Python, and verify results with measurements, addressing tolerances, timing, and thermal behavior as part of a robust verification process.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or BS with 1–2 years circuit-design experience.
• Experience designing analog, digital, power, mixed-signal, or RF circuits.
• Experience with designs that were fabricated, integrated, shipped, or taped out.
• Proficiency with Python.
• Experience with CLI-based EDA tools or scripting.
• Strong understanding of circuit behavior and trade-offs.
• Hardware bring-up and lab validation experience.
• Ability to explain circuit behavior clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and validate analog, digital, power, mixed-signal, or RF circuits.
• Translate requirements into schematics, netlists, models, HDL, constraints, or simulation inputs.
• Run circuit simulation, synthesis, verification, or related workflows using CLI tools.
• Use Python to generate inputs, automate simulations, run parameter sweeps, and analyze results.
• Evaluate outputs like voltage, current, power, gain, bandwidth, impedance, noise, timing, stability, and thermal behavior.
• Perform corner, tolerance, Monte Carlo analyses where appropriate.
• Compare simulated behavior with calculations and measurements.
• Diagnose issues involving parasitics, layout, power integrity, or manufacturing.
• Review AI-generated circuit solutions for correctness; develop reproducible references.
