Job summary

Digital Harbor Foundation is seeking a Chief Information Officer to lead the organization's IT, security, data governance, and risk management. This senior role reports to the CEO and collaborates with the executive team to align technology with program delivery and nonprofit constraints.

The CIO will oversee the technology stack (cloud, CRM, identity, endpoints), manage the budget, vendors, and incident response, and foster a security‑mfirst culture across all projects and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, information security, CS, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in information technology and/or information security, with 3+ years at senior leadership level.
• Experience owning an enterprise technology stack (cloud, CRM/donor management, IAM, endpoints).
• Experience with data privacy, governance and nonprofit compliance.
• Proven ability to mature cybersecurity posture and communicate risk to executives/board.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT strategy, governance, and security program for an organization-wide tech stack.
• Oversee IT service management, incident response, and vendor management.
• Develop multi-year technology roadmap aligned to mission and budget.
• Manage budgets, renewals, and nonprofit technology discounts where relevant.
• Direct data governance, risk management, and compliance across projects.
