Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Chiller Operator I/II to support the safe and efficient operation of large centrifugal chillers (up to 2000 tons) on a university campus in Atlanta, GA. You will monitor the chiller management system, perform maintenance, and ensure safe operations with attention to water treatment and regulatory standards.

The role requires experience in HVAC systems, chiller operation, and strong communication with operations teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience operating HVAC equipment.
• Graduation from an accredited HVAC technical school or equivalent hands‑on HVAC experience.
• Approximately 5 years of chiller operation experience in industrial HVAC environments.
• Ability to monitor and troubleshoot chiller management systems and controls.

Responsibilities

• Operate centrifugal chillers and related plant equipment in accordance with ASME and NFPA codes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot chiller management system and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain cooling tower water treatment controllers and related equipment.
• Perform daily rounds and document findings; report abnormalities.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance orders; document work performed.
