Minnesota Management & Budget (MMB) seeks a Chief Data Officer to serve as the State of Minnesota’s enterprise leader for statewide data strategy, governance, and ethical use. The CDO will lead the Minnesota Data Strategy Team to build governance frameworks, data infrastructure, and secure data sharing across agencies.

Qualificações

• At least six years of senior governance, data-sharing, or policy/tech project leadership across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong legal background and ability to translate statutes and policy into actionable guidance.
• Experience partnering with executives and public sector leaders on cross-agency initiatives.

Responsabilidades

• Provide executive leadership for statewide data governance and privacy priorities.
• Set strategic and legal direction for the State Data Strategy Team and align statewide priorities.
• Advise leaders on governance, data sharing, and privacy considerations balancing innovation and risk.
• Serve as statewide escalation point for complex data governance issues.
• Advance enterprise data strategy with national best practices and cross‑agency collaboration.
