Job summary

Southern New Hampshire University seeks a visionary Vice President of Development, Alumni, and Community Engagement to lead strategic fundraising, alumni relations, and community initiatives. You will unify these areas into a long-term, donor-centric strategy that advances SNHU’s mission and growth.

Reporting to the Executive VP of External Affairs, you will manage a team of advancement professionals, set measurable goals, and ensure data-informed decision-making, inclusivity, and accountability

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in fundraising, advancement, or development leadership.
• Ability to close significant gifts and cultivate donor relationships.
• Experience leading diverse, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop a unifying strategy across philanthropy, alumni engagement, and community work.
• Lead major gifts, annual giving, and planned giving programs.
• Oversee donor relations, stewardship, and recognition strategies.
• Build and expand alumni networks and community partnerships.
• Oversee advancement services, data governance, and reporting.
• Drive grant management and capacity-building initiatives.
• Collaborate with university leadership to align advancement with SNHU's mission.
